The 8th Air Force Historical Society was created in 1975 to preserve the legacy of the Mighty Eighth and the part it played in World War II. T
he Society is a strong organization with an emphasis on remembering and honoring our comrades who served with distinction: the men who flew, the many thousands of ground crews, and those who worked in the background. CONTACT

Musee Deportation et Resistance de Tarbes
The Deportation and Resistance Museum in Tarbes, France
The museum exhibits the local history of the Resistance: accounts from prisoners of war, escaped prisoners, deportees, internees, the Bigorre Regiment, those who passed through the Pyrenees, members of the Resistance such as the ‘Corps Franc Pommiès’ volunteer corps who were very active in the south west of France. Tarbes was a key location in the Resistance and so was awarded the ‘Croix de Guerre’ (War Cross). They welcome inquiries and contributions to the exhibit. CONTACT
